Dear Parishioners and Friends of Holy Trinity
The south facade windows of the Church, above the sanctuary, have now been removed for restoration. Some of the concrete frame will have to be repaired, and we are expecting the scaffold to be removed by the middle of next week.
The facade will remain boarded up until the restoration is complete and the windows have been reinstalled. One can see what a difference the work has made to the recently reinstalled Rose Window on the south facade. Artglass has done a wonderful job!
There has been some disruption to life at Trinity while this work was being done. We apologise for the interruption. Judging by the south facade (Rose Window), the (minor) disruption will allow generations to come to enjoy the splendour of the windows of this Church. Holy Trinity is truly a jewel in the concrete jungle that surrounds it, and so we must do all we can to preserve this sacred space in all its beauty. In the midst of the city, Trinity is a place of peace, and through the windows, a place of encounter with God, who chose to become incarnate and live among us. The windows tell us the story of how God is ever active in our lives and world.
Again, we would like to thank all those who have generously contributed to the restoration work, especially the Ryan Foundation. We are appreciative to all who have helped us. If you haven't donated, please consider doing so by visiting HERE.
