Saint Philip
The Apostle of Zeal

This radiant stained glass window celebrates Saint Philip, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. Known for his fervent faith and zeal, Saint Philip played a vital role in spreading the Gospel and guiding early Christians in their journey of faith.
In this depiction, Saint Philip is shown holding a cross-topped staff, symbolising his missionary efforts and his martyrdom for the faith. The book in his hand represents the Gospel message he proclaimed with courage and conviction. His green robes reflect growth and renewal, themes central to his work in bringing new believers to Christ.
Saint Philip is remembered for his role in connecting people to Jesus, such as when he brought Nathanael (Bartholomew) to meet Christ, declaring, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law." His life reminds us of the importance of sharing our faith and leading others to Christ with passion and sincerity.
A Prayer to Saint Philip
O Glorious Saint Philip, at the Last Supper you said to Jesus, "Lord, show us the Father and it will be enough for us." Help us make this our prayer also and to seek God in all things. Obtain for us the grace to know the Father and Jesus Christ whom He has sent - for in this does eternal life consist.
Amen
